Ada Christine Brooks, 95, passed away peacefully at Wyoming Healthcare Center on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.
She was born September 19, 1929, in Ethel (Logan County), WV to the late Oval Curtis and Cretta Stepp Curtis.
Christine graduated from Man High School in 1948 and married the love of her life, her husband, James “Jamie” G. Brooks on June 28th of the same year.
She had a strong faith in our Lord Jesus Christ and served Him in many capacities at the church she loved, Cook Memorial Baptist Church in Pineville. She was a member of the American Baptist Women; sang in the church choir and was a Sunday School teacher, just to name a few.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Burl Albert Brooks. Also awaiting her arrival in Heaven are her siblings: Kelly W. Curtis, Edell I. Combs, Charlie C. Curtis, Oval Curtis, Jr., and Freddie E. Curtis.
Those left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Gil Brooks and wife April of Titusville, FL, Randy Brooks and wife Martha of Canton, GA and Kelly Brooks and wife Vivian of Pineville, WV; grandchildren, Heather Ryan and husband Jeff of Canton, GA, Amy Choate and husband Jason of Beckley, WV, Andrea Cook of Charleston, WV, Donnie Smith and wife Erin of Titusville, FL, Ryan Brooks and wife Erica of Parkersburg, WV and James Brooks of Titusville, FL; twelve great-grandchildren; and many dear nieces and nephews.
