Scott Shiflett

Rockview- Gilbert “Scott” Shiflett, 53, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Princeton Community Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 26, 1966 in Welch, WV, he was the son of Barry Shiflett and the late Wilma Stuart Shiflett.

Scott worked hard all his life. He began his first job while still attending Pineville High School and never slowed down. For the last several years, he was self -employed and worked as a contract driver for CMJR.

When he was wasn’t working, Scott enjoyed traveling (especially to Tennessee), watching NASCAR, working on carpentry projects around the house, and sharing the latest joke he’d heard. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and his mother-in-law.

In addition to his father, he leaves behind his loving wife, Becky Shiflett; sons, Nick Shiflett of Rockview and Chris Stafford and wife, Sara of Jefferson Township, PA; daughters, Allyson Bolen and husband, Caleb of Coal City and Amanda Mullins and husband, Chris of Pineville; grandchildren, Charleigh, Ben and Christian Mullins of Pineville; father-in-law, Bob Stafford; and brother-in-law and best friend, Kenny Stafford.
