Roger Dale Cook 74, of Turkey Creek passed away Thursday March 7, 2019 at Raleigh General Hospital following a short illness. Born October 23, 1944 in Bud he was the son of the late Noel Vern, and Edna Mae Milam Cook.
Roger was a 1963 graduate of Pineville High School and proudly served his country in Vietnam. He was a coal miner for over 30 years, having worked at various places such as Lynco and retiring in 2001 from Candice #2. He loved spending time with his family, and friends camping, hunting, fishing, and going to his Veteran meetings on Monday's.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 50 years Elizabeth Campbell Cook, two daughters Mary Ann Pettry and her husband Mark, and Amanda King and husband John, and his pride and joy grand daughters Savannah King, and Emilee King all of Turkey Creek, his brothers and sisters Larry (Hazel) Cook, Rodney(Diane)Cook and David Cook all of Turkey Creek, Kathy (Glen) Workman of Cyclone and Phyllis (Charlie) Massie of Flat Top, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
