Ricky Gene Brown

Ricky Gene Brown, 58, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Born March 10, 1961 in Pineville, WV, he was the son of Shirley Mavis Blankenship Brown and the late Bobby Lee Brown, Sr.

Ricky was an outdoorsman, he loved hunting and fishing (especially at Stonewall) with his family and he enjoyed playing the guitar. He attended Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joseph Lee Blankenship and Inez Brown Blankenship, paternal grandparents, Waitman Brown and Oma Lusk Brown and a brother, Bobby Lee Brown, Jr.

Ricky is survived by his mother, Mavis Brown; his children, Ricky Blake Brown, Tiffany Hunt, her  husband Steven and Jordan Paige Brown; step-daughter, Taylor Nester and husband Nick Carter; his granddaughter, MacKenzie Grace; his brother, Eric Waitman Brown and wife Karen; nieces and nephews, Christopher and Venus Brown, Candace and Bilton Blankenship, Derek Brown and Ian Brown; great nieces, Jaci Lynn and Braylee Jade; sister-in-law, Tammy Brown; special aunt and uncle, Michael and Geraldine Perry; special cousin, Stephanie Blankenship and dear friend, Russell “Gus” Nester.
