Lonnie Marcum

Lonnie Marcum,  82 , of Kopperston, passed away Wednesday April 24, 2019 at his home. Born July 7, 1936, he was the son of the late Willie Marcum Sr. and Evia Porter Marcum.

Lonnie was a member of the UMWA. He enjoyed gardening and working with his hands. Lonnie loved feeding and watching his hummingbirds.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Marie Marcum, five brothers, Edward Charles Marcum, Willie Marcum Jr., Burbage Marcum, Toney Marcum and Jackie Marcum and one sister, Lillian Grubb.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters; Trena Brotherton and her husband Michael of  China Grove, NC and Cindie Rose and her husband Corbett of Statesville NC; grandchildren, Derek Rose and his wife Jessica and Hanna Brotherton; great grandchildren, Cadien Rose and Tristin Rose; brothers, Ernie Marcum and Billie Marcum; sisters, Dollie Justice, Wanda Curry, Edie Norwood and Marie Brown. In Lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Amedisys Hospice.
