Judy Ann (Tilley) Shumate

Judy Ann Shumate 67 of Ravencliff went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday September 18, 2019. 

Born December 8, 1951 in McGraws, she was the daughter of the late Jonathon Tilley and Ethel Mae Corbon Tilley Hinkle .

Judy was a life long resident of Wyoming County, she worked for many years for the Wyoming County Board of Education as a custodian at John McGraws, Baileysville, and Pineville Middle.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years Jimmie Shumate, her son Jimmy Shumate, Son-in-law Ellis Keith Jarrell, and her granddaughter Kimberly Wesley.     

Those left to cheris her memory include her children Rebecca Ann Dutten and her husband Frank, Vicki Jeffery and her husband Jeremy, Johnathon Shumate, Jesse Shumate and his wife Tonya, and Tyler Shumate. 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her brothers and sisters Janet Owens, Junior Tilley and his wife Tina, Deloris Dowell, and Michael Tilley and wife Juanita, and a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends. 

Services will be 3:00pm Sunday September 22, 2019 in Pinegrove Church, Ravencliff, with Rev Jason Purdue officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 2pm until service time Sunday at the church.
