Judy Sparks 70, of Pineville passed away Wednesday February 13, 2019 in Raleigh General Hospital following a long illness.

Born September 13, 1948 in Sabine she was the daughter of the late Alton and Hallie Stewart Phillips.

Judy was a graduate of Pineville High School, she enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She loved camping on the Greenbrier, and cheering on her beloved WVU Mountaineers. Judy loved to travel, and spending time with her family. Judy was a Head start Teacher for many years.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Leonard Phillips, Joy Tilley, Kay Decker, and Alton Phillips Jr.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Joe Sparks, her 2 children Robert "Bobby" Sparks and his wife Sherry, and Amy Michelle Sparks. 3 Grandchildren Jennifer Estep and her husband Daniel, Tyler Brian Short, and Joseph Michael Sparks. 1 great grandchild Jude Estep, 2 sisters Jenelle Sleboda and Jo Ann Thompson and her husband Charles "Bud" Thompson. A host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.
