Darrell Tolliver 83, of Pineville passed away at his son's home on Thursday March 21, 2019 with his daughter in law Debbie caring for him.
Born July 11, 1935 in Mullens, he was the son of the late Walter Enoch and Bessie Smith Tolliver.
Darrell was a 1954 graduate of Pineville High School, he served in the Untied States Marine Corp for 3 years, he was a member of the UMWA where he worked in Mine construction as a crane operator. He was a loving, kind and generous father, who enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends such as those he made at the Pinnacle Creek Country store. He also had a cat Ralph, who was very dear to him.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by, his sister Carolyn Phillips, his ex-wife Fern Tolliver, and a daughter Deborah McCoy of Key Rock.
Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Gloria and her Husband Frankie Sizemore, his son D.J. Tolliver and his wife Debbie, his grandchildren: Rachel McQueen and Husband Jeff, of Texas, and Megan Sizemore, and Levi Sizemore of Pineville, Shawn Tolliver of Pineville, Kimberly Smith of Itman, and Whitney Farley of Beckley, Great Grandchildren: Brandon Peck of Glover, Bristol McQueen and Liam McQueen of Texas, Special Friends Gerald and Brenda Green, Tommy and Linda Graybeal, and a special cousin Hope Huffman, and many extend family members, and friends.
Services will be Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 1pm in the chapel of Evans-Calfee Funeral Service Pineville with Rev. Michael Knotts officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, in Matheny with the Wyoming County Veterans Honor Guard performing Graveside Rights.
Friends can gather with the family from 11am until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
