Danny Charles Blankenship 72, of Beckley formerly of Pineville, passed away on February 5, 2019 following a long illness.
Born December 22, 1946 in Pineville he was the son of the late Curtis and Marie Harvey Blankenship.
Danny was a 1965 graduate of Pineville High School, and was a 1st Luetinant in the Untied States Army National Guard. Danny was a co-owner of IGA supermarket and owner of Castle Rock Motors in Pineville. Danny worked for Patriot Ford, and Hometown KIA for several years, and was Administration assistant at PBX in Beckley.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years Karen Blankenship, a brother Jerry Blankenship, and a nephew Chris Baldwin.
Survivors include a daughter Kimberly Toler and her husband Edwin, and one loving grandson Daniel all of Beckley. One sister Peggy Baldwin and brother in law Larry, his brother Eddy Blankenship all of Pineville. Nephews include Erik Baldwin, Jon Baldwin and Tommy Blankenship and a host of family and friends that he cherished, and that will miss him dearly.
