Charlotte Compton Obituary

Charlotte Gaye Adair Compton 79 of Welcome North Carolina formerly of Brenton went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday October 30, 2019.

Born February 2, 1940 in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late Jesse James Adair, and the late Olcie Webb.

Charlotte was a longtime member of the Pineville Church of God, and loved going to Myrtle Beach, but her true joy was being a devoted wife and loving mother.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Arnold Compton, her son Roger Compton, and her brother Everett Adair.

Those left to cherish her memory include her three children Brian Compton and wife Erica of Lexington N.C. Jeffery Arnold Compton and wife Tracey of Cumming Ga, and Sheila Kay Lamb and her husband Roger of Brenton, 6 grandchildren and her sisters, Linda and Irene, and a host of extended family and friends.

Services will be Monday November 4, 2019 at 11am in the Pineville Church of God, with Pastor Norman Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Gardens, Matheny.

Friends may gather with the family on Sunday November 3, 2019 from 4-6pm at Evans-Calfee Funeral Service in Pineville.
