Archie Ray Caldwell

Archie Ray Caldwell Sr.,77, of Cyclone, passed away Friday September 13, 2019. Born December 30, 1941 in Cyclone, he was the son of the late Thomas and Virgie Ratliff Caldwell.

Archie enjoyed raising and racing prize winning greyhounds. He loved hunting, fishing and boating. He was a very generous man, giving to everyone. He was a devoted husband to Peggy and  loved spending time with her,his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy; grandson, Gary Walker Jr.; sisters, Jackie Gilbert, Bonnie Linville and her husband Junior and Gerri Horton and her husband Frank; brothers, Bobby Caldwell and an infant brother Ricky; sons in law, Ronnie O’Neal and Carl Stagg.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Archie Caldwell Jr. and his wife Cary of Cyclone and George (Caldwell) O’Sha and his wife Michelle of IL; his daughters, Sandra Caldwell of NC and Kimberely Gregg and her husband Paul of TN; brothers, JC Caldwell and his wife Linda of Cyclone, Darrell Caldwell of Cyclone, Kenny Caldwell and his wife Lisa of  “traveling the world”; sisters, Carol Stewart of Il, Charlene O’Neal of OH, Mary Stagg of MI and Margie Hoozier and her husband Bill of VA; brother in law, Doc Gilbert; sisters in law, Norma Jean Caldwell and Linda Keller
