Anilee E. Rollins, a resident of the McDowell Nursing Home in Gary, passed away January 30, 2019 at the age of 87. Anilee was the daughter of the late Hanley Bea Rollins and Maggie Cook Rollins. She was a graduate of Oceana High School, Concord College, and George Washington University in Washington, D. C. She worked for the United States Agency for International Development for many years. She was preceded in death by hers sisters, Clarice Brown, Cora Shelly, Linda Ruth Rollins, and her brothers, Eugene, Thomas, and Ira Bea.
She is survived by one brother, Louis Jefferson Rollins of Newark, Ohio. Other survivors include the following nieces and nephews: Sandra Privett (Garland), Donna Killen (Maurice), Cheryl Parris (Ben), Karen Stewart (Tom), Connie Rollins, Sharon Rollins, Dwight Rollins, Dwayne Rollins (Rachelle), Diana Phelps, Debra Camp (Doug), Denice Rollins, Charlotte Wallace (Ed), Patricia Wardzinske, Carol Kaufman (Jon), John Rollins, Harold Rollins, and Frank Rollins.
A burial service will be conducted at Palm Memorial Gardens on Tuesday, February 5 at noon with the Rev. Michael Knotts officiating.
A "Celebration of Life Service" will be conducted at a later date.
